"You must provoke an impulsive strike if you want to catch fish in clear water".
It was only after moving to the Great Northwest where much of the fishing water is as clear as your drinking water, that Dr. Crazy learned that a successful fisherman must provoke an impulsive strike if you want to catch wary fish in crystal-clear water.

Most lures will work to some degree where fish will strike any disturbance on the water, primarily because it's too murky and muddy for them to identify anything. But in order to get a fish like the very wary trout to strike something artificial in clear water, it has to have an irresistible, tantalizing action. It has to be stimulating enough to cause big-ole-lazy fish to move into action! And just like all of God's creatures (like you and me) they would prefer not to have to work too hard to get it.

That's why a lure needs to have extraordinary action "at a crawl". Dr. Crazy couldn't find a lure with any degree of castability that did not have to be retrieved at warp speed in order to induce good action. Not finding any such lure on the market is what forced Dr. Crazy into making his own lures.

After 10 years of hand-forging his own lures and testing them in places like the famous Blue Ribbon Williamson River (where Dr. Crazy actually lived on the bank for 4 months at the wonderful WaterWheel Campground), and many other premier, clear-water lakes and streams of SW. Oregon; Dr. Crazy has decided to offer them to the public.

Honestly, as far as Dr. Crazy is concerned, not a whole lot!  But of the few things that are, knowin' that your fishin' buddies know the Lord is one of 'em.  All it takes is a mis-step in your waders, or a boating incident; and you could be staring at the "here-after".  Dr. Crazy knows this from personal experience!  When you have a close-call like that, you'll either be thankful that you already know the Lord, or you'll be wishin' you had a little more time to get your account squared away with Him.

Whether you are a fisherman, a hunter, or just enjoy "the outdoors", you have to know that God exists, and by logical conclusion, know that we will all be held accountable by our Creator.

Romans 1:19-20
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse...

Like-wise, common sense should tell us that for heaven to be a heavenly place, no sin can be allowed there.  Else it would soon be in the same mess as this world is in.  There are two kinds of people living on planet Earth today:  those living under the law (the 10 commandments which justly accuse us all of our sinful condition), and those living under grace.  The desperate situation of those without Jesus Christ is given in:

Romans 3:19
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

But God demonstrated His love for us not only in all that He has created, but in His mercy towards us.  Imagine the Creator allowing Himself to be crucified by His own creation, in order to take the judgement for our sins upon Himself.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
His gift to man-kind is not automatically applied to everyone's account. Like any gift, it can be be graciously accepted or refused.  Jesus will not force Himself upon us.

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

He knocks at our heart's door, but He will not knock forever.  We don't know that we will draw another breath to respond to His knocking later.  He has invited us into a relationship with Him through His Holy Spirit and His Word.  He has made His presence known in and through all that He has made.

Hebrews 3:7
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, …
